The institute shall be guided by the following values:
Healthcare systems are among the most complex and intricate organizations in the world. Solving these challenges calls for a break from the traditional “silo” approach of confining solving problems to a single sector and or discipline and adopting a Multisectoral, multidisciplinary approach. The institute is also aware that to be successful, it must transcend organizational and geographical boundaries to respond to the ever changing needs of the health sector.
Learning and Innovation
Learning and Innovation are key to improving and sustaining healthcare. The IHPMR will strive to identify local approaches that have worked. These will be presented as case studies for participants to learn from. These case studies will also form a basis for designing new interventions based on lessons learnt.
The IHPMR will demand of itself and others the highest ethical standards. The institutes processes, services and products will be of the highest quality.
Quality is a key factor in the healthcare sector thus IHPMR believes in the delivery of quality services. The institute will work towards improving access to, and the quality of, healthcare through education, training, research and advocacy.
The Institute will develop programmes, support and promote ideas and initiatives with positive influences on health service delivery. This should in turn encourage stakeholders to provide resources to maintain the activities of the Institute.
